The SGA began when Ben bet Thomas that he could pick more CBB games correctly than Thomas could before Thomas left for his annual March Madness trip to Las Vegas. The prize was $10, to be placed on any bet the winner chose while Thomas was in Vegas. Ben won the inaugural contest, but the competition was far from over.

Since 2016, the SGA has run contests on college basketball, college football, the NFL, the NBA, the NHL, and the UFC. The prize is now cash instead of a bet in Vegas, and the size of the pools (and the prizes) has increased each year. All are welcome, as long as you don't mind putting your money where your mouth is.
